Prof. Dr. Dirk Uwe Sauer
Apricum is pleased to announce the appointment of Prof. Dr. Dirk Uwe Sauer, one of Germany’s leading authorities on electrical energy storage, to its senior advisor team of experts. Prof. Sauer is a professor at RWTH Aachen University for electrochemical energy conversion and storage systems, a position he has held since 2003.
Previously, Prof. Sauer was a scientist and project leader at the Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems ISE in Freiburg, Germany, working on topics such as energy storage systems, decentralized power generators and storage systems in grids, and off-grid power supply systems.
Prof. Sauer holds a diploma in physics from the University of Darmstadt and a PhD in electrochemistry from the University of Ulm.
