Dubai Electricity & Water Authority – DEWA’s Sustainability & Innovation Centre is proud to launch the third CleanTech Hackathon as part of UAE Innovates. This competition unites innovators from diverse fields to develop groundbreaking solutions for a sustainable future, reinforcing the UAE’s commitment to clean and renewable energy. Open to local and international companies, and mature senior student projects, the competition focuses on three critical areas: Desalination, Decarbonisation, and Digitalisation.
Participants will pitch and showcase innovative solutions aimed at enhancing energy efficiency, reducing carbon emissions, and integrating smart technologies into sustainable systems.
Designed to empower innovators, the Hackathon encourages the creation of high-impact solutions that drive clean energy advancements. Participants will gain recognition and contribute to a global shift toward a more sustainable and energy-efficient future.
Winners of the Hackathon receive:
1. The exclusive opportunity to exhibit their innovative solutions to a wider audience at the Cleantech Innovators event held from 24 to 26 February 2025 at DEWA’s Sustainability & Innovation Centre part of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park
2. The chance to present innovations in a seminar in the Cleantech Connect series
3. The opportunity to network with leading investors, researchers and industry giants

· Feb 11 & 12: Online pitching & judging sessions
· Feb 13: Announcing 5 top groups to exhibit
