Apricum – the Cleantech Advisory is pleased to welcome its newest senior advisor, Shimmie Sim. Shimmie is an experienced valuation and financial modeler with a focus on renewable energies whose skills and experience will enable her to deliver the cleantech strategy guidance and transaction advisory services that Apricum’s global clients have come to rely upon.
Shimmie joins Apricum from KPMG where she held a series of positions with increasing scope. Starting in London as a senior associate conducting real estate audits, she was soon promoted to manager on KPMG’s valuations team. Two years later, she accepted an associate director position KPMG Denmark’s valuations and financial modeling team.
In addition to financial assessment and modeling skills, Shimmie’s strong renewable energy competencies in solar, wind and bioenergy have enabled her to manage a series of successful consulting projects in key cleantech spaces. For example, she conducted buy-side advisory for an investment into Denmark’s largest biogas producer as well as for a potential gas pipe asset investment in in the Nordics. In addition, she led the financial model review of a portfolio of four geothermal projects in Europe and provided advisory support to the Danish Energy Agency on their plan to construct the world’s first artificial energy islands.
Fluent in English and Mandarin, Shimmie earned a bachelor’s degree in social policy and economics from the London School of Economics and is also a chartered accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales. Shimmie will work out of Apricum’s London office.
